Hundredth switch styles on new song ‘Neurotic’ from upcoming release ‘Rare’

Since their formation in 2008, South Carolina outfit Hundredth were one of the brightest bands in the melodic hardcore scene with treks alongside Trapped Under Ice, Terror and Stick To Your Guns. After touring in support of 2015’s Free, the outfit felt as if they did all they could in their genre, and they wanted to evolve their sound. With their original guitarist Alex Blackwell back in the group, they released two singles last year before heading to the studio to work on their new record. With some teasing on social media, the outfit decided to show fans the new and improved Hundredth with their new single "Neurotic."

The track is a big departure from their previous work, and as expected, the tune, which echoes shoegaze rockers Silversun Pickups, has brought some mixed feelings in the fanbase. "Neurotic" stems from their new studio album Rare, which is set to be released on June 16 through Hopeless Records. Digital and physical pre-orders for the 12 track record are live over on their website.

When the album drops worldwide, Hundredth will kick off their stint on the Vans Warped Tour, which concludes at the Pomona Fairplex in Pomona, California on Aug. 6. After the summer trek, the band will make their way to Germany to take part of the Destruction Derby music festival, which features performances from August Burns Red, Within The Ruins, and First Blood.
